Describe your ultimate dream project
I would love the opportunity to work on an adaptive reuse project of a family-owned winery in Tuscany. I’d love to take the various existing structures and create a resort, while still maintaining a functioning vineyard. The spaces could include a boutique hotel, a spa and maybe even a small chapel for intimate ceremonies.
Who/What inspires you in your work:
My family – my husband, parents, and siblings – are some of the biggest inspirations in my work. Design is human centric and great design innovates, influences culture, and empowers future generations. Design serves everyone, every status, every social- economic class, and every culture. In essence, design is the heartbeat of the modern world, so my designs are inspired by the people who captive my heart.
Hobbies/Passions you have or want to pick up
I love picking up a paintbrush and trying my hand at various art forms – watercolor is my preferred medium. I love the textural interest of layering transparency; the result is often soft and ethereal.
Personal design style
I have a somewhat eclectic design style – its earth bound, focusing on varying natural wood tones with bold highlights.

Describe your ultimate dream project
My ultimate dream project would be renovating an old historic building, (like 1700s old) Church or School and completely transforming it to something new, like a restaurant or hotel.
Who/What inspires you in your work:
I come from three generations of cabinet makers and custom home designers and builders- Dad, Grandpa and Great Grand Dad. I’ve seen them time and time again produce a finished product that is always beautiful and of the best quality. I’ve learned that design doesn’t have to be extravagant and complicated to be beautiful and impactful.
What you geek out on
Chickens! I love learning about chicken breeds. I’m a closeted chicken lady.

With a passion for keeping things in order, I could definitely give an impromptu 30-minute presentation on how to organize.

Describe your ultimate dream project
Any project that brings new life to an old structure. Adaptive re-use and historic preservation pushing for creative solutions while holding on to elements that trace the lifespan of a space in time. A dream would be turning something with specific character like an old firehouse into a boutique hotel.
Who/What inspires you in your work:
My inspiration for my work always starts with an exploration of the surroundings. I believe in capturing the essence of the existing landscape, following the entire path that leads you from outside to the interiors, and recognizing that design is not a static entity, it’s a dynamic experience that unfolds with each step. I strive to reflect the local environment and create a full sensorial experience for the occupants.
What are your passions beyond design?
I love crafting floral arrangements, recently started exploring textural palette knife painting, and am always seeking out the best coffee in town. Fun Fact: my local coffee shop just added my go-to drink to their menu!
What you geek out on?
My weekend mornings are usually spent in the poetry section of my favorite bookstore or out perusing at vintage markets admiring the nostalgic treasures.

Describe your ultimate dream project
I would love to design a mountain town motel. It would be something cozy in scale, about 15-20 keys, with beautiful views and unique amenities that embrace the surrounding landscape.
Who/What inspires you in your work:
My inspiration for each projects stems from the client and the project location. I always find the most satisfaction in being able to help bring a client’s dream to life in the place that they love.
What are your passions beyond design?
I would love to instantly become multi-lingual. Then I’d grab a bag, my pup, and take off around the world!

Describe your ultimate dream project
My ultimate dream project is to craft a Broadway-style theatre—a symphony of creativity, location, and scale, set to unfold in any universe or metaverse.
Who/What inspires you in your work:
Great design holds functionality at the core. I believe that each project unfolds as a testament to the belief that design should enhance the way we live, work, and experience the world.
Where/how would you spend most or all of your money if you won the lottery?
Should fortune smile upon, lottery winnings would be a ticket to the enchanting realm of anything Disney.
If you had to give a 30 minute presentation on something with no preparation it would be...
Given 30 minutes with no preparation, I could effortlessly guide you through the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Describe your ultimate dream project
I was inspired to become an interior designer from my experiences at my local Children’s Museum, so it would be a dream come true to design a children’s museum of my own. Themed from children’s story books, such as Winnie the Pooh, The Chronicles of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland. There would be a tree house that oversaw the 100-acre woods & numerous exhibits that were “bigger” or “smaller” on the inside. The indoors and outdoors would fuse seamlessly together leading to various types of worlds and encounters -- all to encourage endless imagination.

If not a designer, I would like to think I’d be something cool like a zookeeper but there’s a good chance I would be a project manager for a non-project that serves a cause I care about, or maybe an event coordinator.
